"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live" ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone
A book with magic
I grew up with the Harry Potter books. As a fan, there was not other book with magic that I could have choose. The books are written in a way that fires your imagination, no matter your age and have positive advices. It was a truly magical reading experience again.
A book that scares you
The premise of the book sound interesting, an alternative time after the World War II. The Allies lost the war as a consequence the United States is divided between Germany and Japan. I read the book because I want to watch the Amazon tv show and it felt me deeply disappointed. I kept expecting more intrigue or adventure. Not my kind of book.
A book set during Christmas
It takes place in Halfway, Montana where Nikky and Becky, high school best friends, reunited after 10 years of secrets and untold stories. This was a good book to read on rainy cold days with a blanket while having tea.
A banned book
This is a powerful and emotional book about 2 sisters, Nettie and Celie and how they grew up in rural Georgia in the 1930's. I found it hard to read because is written in southern accent. Although it is really well written i wouldn't recommend it, I found it really sad.
